Spend a little time with our members and you'll discover that everyone has a story to tell. For some, it began when they were teens. Others began their journey later in life. Whether early or late, nothing makes us more excited than when someone makes the decision to step out on faith and begin their own personal story of becoming a Christian.
These stories are often filled with dramatic transformation. Marriages healed. Addiction recovery. Long-damaged relationships with loved ones are restored. Restored confidence, renewed self-worth, and other incredible changes that would be impossible without God.
Finding a purpose is also a common theme in our stories. As our members grow, they also find ways to serve our Father as an outpouring of their faith. In some cases this leads to discovering skills and talents, or a renewed sense of self-confidence as they use their strengths to help others.
No story worth telling is without conflict, and the same is true for the journey of Christianity. The Bible promises us "In this world, you will have trouble" (John 16:33). Becoming a Christian is both the best and hardest decision of your life. You are expected to "die to yourself" daily (Luke 9:23). You will be called by God to step out of your comfort zone, to forgive the unforgivable, to love the unlovable. But through this, you also gain fruits of the spirit: "Love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control" (Galatians 5:22-23). It's not easy. But it is WORTH IT.
The best stories involve a vibrant cast of characters, which is where the church comes in. There are 59 scriptures that use the words "one another", plus many more that talk about our relationships with others. As a first step, we invite you to attend one of our Sunday services or upcoming events. We also have several small groups around the metro St. Louis area, all of which are open to new members.
Please do join us. And let us help you discover YOUR story.
