Heartland Youth Camp 2022:

More Than Conquerors

Welcome back!

We're thrilled to announce that we will be returning to Eagle Rock Retreat for Heartland Youth Camp. Set in on 1500 acres in Eagle Rock, Missouri, this venue features air-conditioned cabins/sleeping spaces, three buffet-style meals and two snacks each day, various sports and activities, outdoor swimming pools,  and more!

Eagle Rock Retreat Center (www.eaglerockretreat.org), where you will find Christian fellowship, fun and growth. The venue is located 75 miles southwest of downtown Springfield, MO and 65 miles northeast of Fayetteville, AR off Highway 86 in Eagle Rock, Missouri. Eagle Rock is part of the Christian Retreats Network.

There are several different areas with log cabins and dorm style lodging, a beautiful, fully staffed dining lodge and many meeting spaces to choose from. Recreational facilities include spacious athletic fields which include soccer, softball and gagaball, a disc golf course, bouldering wall, an in-ground saltwater pool, three chlorine pools, sand volleyball, basketball, hiking, bonfires and more! Its trails and rolling hills make it a great place for cabin groups to go on short hikes with their counselors. It is an ideal and wonderful place to send your child to camp.

Allergies? The dining hall will be able to accommodate food allergies (peanut, gluten, dairy). If your child’s allergies are severe, you may send in premade meals and they will warm them up and serve them to your child along with the rest of the children.

A Day In the Life of an HYC Camper

Ask any camper and they'll tell you that A LOT is packed into each day of Heartland Youth Camp!

After waking and getting ready, campers begin their day at the Flagpole, where there are skits , prayers for breakfast, and announcements for the day. Then you'll head into the air-conditioned dining hall for a hot, buffet-style breakfast.

Praise and Worship is after breakfast. Campers and counselors sing songs together praising God and look at daily  scriptures. Then break off with others in your cabin to have a quiet time where you  review the day's scriptures that and answer questions.

Next is Team Activities. Campers are assigned into teams for the week and participate in friendly competition through ongoing tournaments. Your camper will earn points for their team through various activities, culminating in an Amazing Race competition at the end of the week. Then break for lunch served in the air-conditioned dining hall.

After lunch, you'll meet with your cabin and build friendships through cabin activities and conversation. Then comes Swimming and Free Time – Explore the camp on your own or with friends and participate in sports, arts and crafts, or just chill with other campers and counselors.

In the evening, after dinner, campers will hear a message preached by a guest speaker, connecting to the overall camp theme. You’ll also get to see a daily video of the day’s highlights. Then grab a snack and head back to your cabin to get ready for bed.
